Specific water retention
The pellets consistently retain water equal to up to 300% of their own dry weight.
We tested our pellets in the laboratory of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ISSA SB RAS). Testing was completed in two stages: a standalone pellet test in laboratory dishes and a pellet test in real sandy-loam soil.

INTON GLOBAL's performance has been validated through certified testing by the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, SB RAS. The studies used critical light sandy-loam substrates under elevated temperatures.

The pellets consistently retain water equal to up to 300% of their own dry weight.
The untreated control samples dried out completely within 13 days.
Samples treated with INTON GLOBAL continued to retain moisture for up to 30 days.
From day 5 to day 10, moisture loss was only 2%.
We compared the evaporation of open water with water absorbed by our pellets.
The pellets immediately absorbed water equal to three times their own dry weight.
Using the laboratory calculation method, a bare pellet retained moisture 16.9 times longer than open water under the same conditions.
Only 11% of the absorbed moisture evaporated during the first 24 hours.
We used highly vulnerable, fast-drying sandy soil, planted crops and stopped irrigation under high-temperature conditions.
The soil without pellets dried out completely.
The soil treated with INTON GLOBAL pellets continued to retain moisture.
Thermos effect: after the first watering, the pellets swelled to three times their dry volume and slightly lifted the topsoil. The resulting air layer reduced upward evaporation. From day 5 to day 10, moisture declined by only 2%.
All stated results were obtained in controlled laboratory tests conducted by scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Actual field performance will vary with climate, air temperature and soil type. Before purchasing large volumes, we recommend a small pilot test in your field to calculate the best irrigation schedule for your conditions.
Three independent levels demonstrate the project's scientific, technological, and institutional credibility.

Coarse wool from meat-breed sheep is a growing natural resource that the textile industry has little use for. We turn it into raw material for an industrial product instead of synthetic materials — circular economy in practice.
